Gokyo Lakes
The Gokyo Lakes Trek is widely considered the most visually spectacular trek in the Everest region. Trekking up the remote Gokyo Valley, you leave the busy Everest Base Camp trail behind and enter a serene, pristine alpine environment. The absolute highlight of this 13-day adventure is the series of six sacred, turquoise-blue glacial lakes sitting quietly beside the longest glacier in the Himalayas, the Ngozumpa Glacier.\n\nClimbing the rocky peak of Gokyo Ri (5,357m) rewards you with what many seasoned trekkers believe is the best panoramic view in the entire region. From this vantage point, you can witness four of the world's 8,000-meter peaks simultaneously: Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. This trek offers a perfect blend of high-altitude adventure, physical challenge, and profound natural beauty without the extreme crowds of the classic EBC route.
