Dudh Kunda
The Dudh Kunda Trek takes you to the sacred alpine lake of Dudh Kunda (Milky Lake), situated right at the base of the towering Numbur Himal (6,959m). This hidden gem in the lower Solukhumbu region offers an incredibly peaceful trekking experience away from the crowded commercial trails. During the August full moon, the lake becomes a major pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists, but for the rest of the year, it is a serene and pristine wilderness. You will trek through dense pine and rhododendron forests, interact with incredibly welcoming local Sherpa communities, and enjoy striking views of the Everest and Makalu ranges.
